Move Add Change Process
All moved are generally carried out by a designated
move manager.
Initial meeting with the customer to capture the following:
• Number of moves.
• New and old desk locations.
• Move date.
• Time scales of move.
• Any Special requirements
• Project Codes or department codes (if needed
for billing).
• On site IT contact for move weekend.
• Desk plans
Site Survey
A full site survey is carried out by the move manager
to capture and log the following items:
• No duplicate desk locations.
• New desk is suitable for new kit.
• Infrastructure cabling and power is available.
• Move numbers and locations match the customer’s
documentation.
• Picture of desk (if requested).
• Number of PC’s, Monitors and other desktop
devices.
• Screen, Keyboard and mouse orientation.
• Phone Orientation and Type.
• Order Lables
Pre
Move
On the day of the move the move manager will attend
site early to capture and additions or amendments to
move. If feasible these will be added to the move matrix.
Move
• Attend site at designated time.
• Work with Move manager / Team leaders to decommission
all kit from user’s desks.
• Capture screen layouts and document cable locations
• Decommission kit.
• Pack in IT crate’s (using bubble wrap
if required and label crate).
• For internal moves, move to new location or
stack in cage for transportation to new floor.
• Crate removal to transportation
• Crate delivery to new desk.
• Re connect Kit.
• Test
• Move manager and onsite IT to sign of completed
forms. |
